Upstate New York that is (The Finger Lakes Region) to be accurate and guided tours to be precise. That’s right, it’s almost spring and Finger Lakes Food Tours | Tours In The Finger Lakes is on the verge of re-opening.
What a year long hibernation period it has been! Therefore, 2021 is going to be all about celebrating YOU. From all you gormandizers, to oenophile and cerevisaphiles, oh, and let’s not forget you fellow explorateurs out there either! We’re calling each and every one of you as you slowly, but surely make your way out and about this year. Simply put, we want you back and to show you just how excited we are to have you come back, our company has developed some phenomenal new tours for this season as you “Come See And Eat With Us.”
And so to be very clear with COVID-19 still looming on the horizon, we have implemented a new set of safety guidelines. These procedures have been developed in line with the best practices published by our state government and local health officials with regard to restaurant and/or tour operations. Our customers and the members of our local community are of the utmost importance, so we want to reassure you of the steps our company is taking to ensure guests can continue to explore and enjoy with peace of mind in staying as safe as possible. Here then is our resolution to you folks looking to resume and experience our activities while out in public this year:
♦ Reducing group size:
Our small group tours just got smaller. That means that any of our tours will accommodate no more than (6) people. Participants must be from the same family/household or persons who have been in contact with one another prior to our tour. A COVID-19 waiver is required and must be signed at time of your online reservation. All visitors over the age of two are required to wear face masks covering their nose and mouth. If a guest is feeling unwell prior to scheduled tour date or on day of tour; please be advised we will be more than happy to reschedule your tour for you.
♦ Maintaining social distancing requirements:
The tour guide will maintain social distancing during tours according to regulations issued by state & local health authorities.
♦ The wearing of masks:
We offer a number of tours to choose from on different days of the week and each tour has a pre-assigned meeting place. Every tour requires every guest planning on participating to have their masks on and in place prior to checking in as folks assemble. Should a guest show up for one of our tours without a mask, one will be provided by your guide at an additional cost and every person must be wearing a mask in order for the tour to commence. It is also advisable for each participant to bring a pen of their own to sign our waiver & release of liability form.
♦ Visiting restaurants safely:
Our tours will only visit restaurants and shops that are adhering to official safety standards and regulations. Our tours will continue to feature independent, family run businesses and spotlighting our local products. It is our small, independent businesses that make our towns/cities the heart of what is so impressive.
Reservations are being taken now with our first tour commencing on April 6th and continuing right on through the end of November. Visit our website for full tour details and availability throughout the season. We look forward to seeing you once again.
